Worthy of Worship
To be called the greatest basketball player in history because we can dribble and shoot a basketball and because our T-shirt brags that “we are the greatest” is silly. But to be Michael Jordan, the man who led the Chicgo Bull sto four NBA championships, is to actually deserve the high rank of MVP. The honor that Jordan has received is not hype. It is recognition of accomplishment.
God is to be glorified because He acts like who He is — the greatest, the most honorable, the most trustworthy being in the universe. He receives the glory of angels and humans because they are filled with admiration, deep respect, and appreciation for His sheer goodness and safe leadership. He deserves to be God. He has earned the right to lead. He is worthy of an eternity of heart-response worship.
